# Class 8 — CT & AI Test (before and after)
### District Level Deliberations (DLD) 2026–27

A short, simple test. The **same test** is given **before** the three weeks of teaching
and **again after**, so we can see how much each section improved.

- **10 questions · 2 marks each · 20 marks total.**
- Mostly spoken/written in the child's own words — no coding.
- Grades may have questions read aloud.
- A child who scores **12 or more out of 20** is counted as having **understood it well**.

**Q5. Learning from examples (2)**  A "machine" is told: apple = healthy, chips = junk,
carrot = healthy. What will it likely say for **biscuit**, and **why**?

**Q6. Mistakes (2)**  If a machine only ever saw **brown** dogs, what mistake might it make
when it sees a **white** dog?

**Q7. Pictures as numbers (2)**  How can a simple black-and-white picture be written using
only **1s and 0s**?

**Q8. Remembering (2)**  You look at a busy classroom for 3 seconds, then draw it from memory.
You keep the main things but lose tiny details. Why is that **useful**?

**Q9. Next word (2)**  "The sun rises in the ___." Fill the blank. **How did you guess?**

**Q10. Using AI wisely (2)**  True or false: *"AI is always correct."*  Give **one reason**.

**Total: 20.**  Write each child's marks **before** and **after** into
`data/students.csv` (columns `marks_before_20`, `marks_after_20`). The report then
fills in by itself.
